As the need for adolescents¡¯ mental health is increasing, schools are emphasized as an important place for the prevention and improvement of mental health and access to services. ¡®Students¡¯ Mental Health School-Community Cooperative Model¡¯ started in 2013. This had a great significance in that it was the first nationwide school-based mental health project. This study aims to analyze the factors that participants recognized through the process of the 3-year-long project. To this end, an interview was conducted with 20 hands-on workers and a qualitative analysis was conducted. The result of the research deduced 11 factors ¡ª case-based teacher training and development of practical contents, students¡¯ mental health education using curriculum, active education and counseling with parents, establishing school operation systems for students¡¯ mental health, organizing school committees, student support and crisis management systems, crisis response training, designating school doctor for mental health, establishing control tower of Education Office, organizing local committee, and establishing a hot-line system. Based on the research result, political and practical suggestions were made to expand the school-based mental health project.
